Winter school for heads of institutes and structural divisions

On January 6, 2020, two sessions were held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in the framework of the Winter School «Teacher education in a changing world: new priorities».

At the first session, professors of the Kazakh language and literature department named after S. Kirabaev of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Mayra Zhunusova and Marat Shuakaev, associate professor Gulzat Raeva held a seminar on the topic «The practice of teaching students the Kazakh language using the Latin alphabet. Actual problems of the Latin spelling of the Kazakh language».

Teachers leading classes in the Kazakh language attended the event. The students got acquainted with the version of the Latin alphabet, with the meaning of its introduction, relevant issues of the Latin script, on which there was an exchange of views.

At the second session, the head of the commercialization department for the results of scientific and technical activities of the Department of science of Abai KazNPU Talgat Igissinov conducted a training on the topic «Commercialization of innovations. Recommendations on the preparation of applications for participation in grant funding contests», and Zhanna Khamzina, professor of the Department of Law at the Institute of History and Law, held a seminar «Criteria for reviewing articles in journals of the Scopus database».

Doctoral students, undergraduates and young university teachers attended the sessions.

The training of Talgat Igissinov took place in an interactive mode, and the students were able, through active interaction, to come to the realization of the stated topic. This form of training allowed to create a creative atmosphere and improve the quality of reflection within the framework of the topic.

The presentation on the procedure for applying for grant funding and the criteria for reviewing articles in Scopus journals interested the audience with the depth of presentation of the material Zhanna Khamzina, attracting personal experience on a relevant topic. Concrete recommendations were given taking into account the nuances of filing applications in terms of reviewing such works.
