Continuing education courses for teachers 

On January 5-10, 2020, in the framework of the Winter School «Teacher education in a changing world: new priorities», continuing education courses for teachers of structural units were held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

Courses on the topic «Development of tasks for evaluating meta-subject results of student learning» (40 hours) were conducted by Gulzhan Primbetova, Associate Professor of Turan University.

The purpose of the program is to familiarize teachers with the basics of pedagogical measurements, with the stages of developing test tasks to evaluate the learning outcomes of students at all levels.

On the course, the teachers worked out the skills of determining the basic didactic units of knowledge in the taught discipline; differentiated levels of learning material; developed tasks aimed at assessing subject knowledge and meta-subject learning outcomes; constructed various types of tasks; created parallel test cases.

Classes were held in various formats: lectures, practical classes, and trainings. The course participants had the opportunity to discuss their vision of the problems associated with the evaluation of meta-subject results, and to develop a package of test items.
