Online scientific seminar on the topic

«Abu Nasir al-Farabi and his contribution to world science»

On April 10, 2020, as part of the «Decade of science 2020», an online scientific seminar «Abu Nasir al-Farabi and his contribution to world science» was held at the Department of chemistry of the Institute of natural science and geography. The purpose of the event is to promote the multifaceted and rich heritage of the great thinker and scientist al-Farabi among the youth of the university.

Organizers: head of the Department Zhazira Mukatayeva and Advisers of students of 1-2 courses: Turar Akylbekova, Balkenzhe Zholdasbek, Farida Bukharbayeva, Saltanat Zaurova.

The scientific seminar was attended by: Director of the Department of science Sayabek Sakhiev, Director of the Institute of natural science and geography Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Deputy Director for research and international relations Kalampyr Zhumagulova, Deputy Director for educational work Nurlan Manapov, head of the Department Zhazira Mukatayeva, teaching staff of the Department and students of 1-2 courses.

The opening speech of the seminar was given to the Director of the Department of science Sayabek Sakhiev. 1st year student Ayaulym Adepkhan, 2nd year students Asel Toleukhanova, Alzira Sandibekova, Simbat Sayakbayeva, Aigerim Saduakasova, Malika Iskanderova made presentations on the legacy and contribution to science of the great scientist, philosopher al-Farabi, demonstrated videos and multimedia presentations. The creative work of the thinker, especially in the field of natural Sciences, aroused great interest among students.

At the end of the event, Director of the Institute Kulyash Kaimuldinova noted the relevance of the seminar and thanked its participants.
