Abai KazNPU was awarded Evrocert certificate

Since the opening of the «Parasat» Center at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, one of the main tasks of the newly created structure was to develop and implement an anti-corruption management system (ACMS) in accordance with the international standard ISO 37001-2016.

The number and composition of the ACMS documents and their integration into the existing system were determined in the course of the work performed. The charter «Anti-Corruption Policy» was developed and approved. Documented procedures for ISO 37001 requirements were developed with consideration of the RK legislation norms:
1. Policy on Resolution of Conflict of Interest;
2. Evaluation of corruption risks;
3. Gifts and representation expenses.

Based on the developed documents and new requirements, they have been edited and reintroduced:
1. Anti-corruption standard;
2. Declaration on Conflict of Interest and Compliance with the Anti-Corruption Policy;
3. Notification of receipt of gifts;
4. An additional agreement to the employment contract of an employee of the University;
5. Work instruction of an employee of the University;
6. Anti-corruption supplement to the educational services contract;
7. Anti-corruption addendum on relations with external organizations and business partners.

According to the developed methodology, corruption risks in the University subdivisions have been assessed. Risks were digitized and ranked according to their significance. Measures on minimization and management of risks of the university have been entered into the register of estimation of significant corruption risks, responsible persons have been defined.

On the basis of developed normative documentation of teaching staff and all employees of the university, «Declaration on conflict of interests and compliance with anti-corruption policy», «Additional agreement to the employment contract» and a new edition of «Official instructions of employees» (and all students are familiarized with anti-corruption addendum, attached to the contract of educational services), which provides for responsibility, duties and rights of both employees and employees in the field of corruption risks, were signed.

As a result of the work performed on 12 and 15 June 2020 by the European company Eurosert (E V R O C E R T Certifikacijainadzor sistemamenadžmenta SCG, 11000 Beograd, ĐureSalaja 4/3 tel. / fax. ++ 381 (0)11 3341-649; 3244-142 e-mail: evrocert@eunet.yu; http://www.evrocert.co.yu) a certification audit was carried out, according to the results of which it was decided to issue a certificate of the established sample to Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University that the anti-corruption management system developed by the University is maintained in working order according to the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001-2016.
