The action «Free legal advice» will continue
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on August 27, 2020, at the initiative of the rector of Abai KazNPU, Chairman of the primary party organization «Abay» of the Medeu district branch of Almaty, Takir Ospanovich Balykbayev, an action began to provide free legal advice to socially vulnerable segments of the population.
The event is organised by the Department of «Jurisprudence» of the Institute of History and Law. The goal of the event is to develop sensitivity to the problems of ordinary people, to form charitable activities and improving the legal literacy of citizens. As N. Chernyshevsky wrote, «three qualities-extensive knowledge, habit of thinking and nobility of feelings, which are necessary for a person to be educated in the full sense of the word».
All the contact details of the persons who were provided legal assistance during the charity event has been registered. Most of the participants in the action are Almaty residents: they received free consultations by appointment, many residents of Karaganda, Pavlodar, Atyrau and Shymkent cities received consultations by phone.d Advice was provided on social assistance, disability benefits and new housing programmes.
Encouraged by the gratitude of citizens who have applied for legal assistance, the specialists of Abai KazNPU will continue to provide free legal assistance. «If you donate, then do it in full», the organisers of the campaign believe.
