Foreign students of Abai KazNPU were congratulated on the «Junshu» holiday

Representatives of the Consulate General of the PRC in Almaty congratulated their compatriots studying at Abai KazNPU, as well as other foreign students of our university, on the holiday «Junshu» - one of the national holidays of China. The guests handed over traditional sweets specially made for this day.

On this occasion, Rector Takir Balykbayev congratulated students from China and other foreign countries on this holiday, which has a thousand-year history and traditions and serves to strengthen the spiritual unity of the Chinese people, preserving centuries-old cultural values. It is celebrated on 1 October every autumn. The symbol of the «Junshu» Festival is the delicious gingerbread baked in every Chinese family, with which hostesses try to treat as many people as possible. The University`s student rectorate has arranged for the Consulate to deliver and give gifts to our international students.
