Presentation of books about historical figures

On October 28, 2020, the «Personalities of the Great Steppe» center of Abai KazNPU, within the framework of the theme «The best people of my country», held a presentation of scientific and educational books: «Ancient Turkic personalities and protokazakhs» (Omarbekov T.), «Kazakh biys - orators» (Tebegenov T.S.), «Kazakh thinkers» (Smagulova S.O.), «Public figures and statesmen» (Abzhanov Kh.M., Nurymbetova G.R.) (Almaty: Ulagat, 2020).

The presentation was officially opened by the Acting Chairman of the Board - Rector of Abai KazNPU, Professor Takir Balykbayev.

The participants of the event honored the memory of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Naribayev, scientific leader and author of the idea of the project «Uly dala tulqalary» - «Personalities of the Great Steppe».

On the social activities of K.N. Naribayev the head of the project center «Rukhani Zhangyru» Imanberdiev Borasyn Zhakypbaevich made a report «Kazakh personality».

Director of the Institute of Literature and Art named after M.O. Auezov, Doctor of Philology, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Matyzhanov Kenzhekhan Slyamzhanovich, Editor-in-Chief of the «Almaty Akshamy» newspaper - Kali Sarsenbai, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of al-Farabi Kazakh National University Talas Omarbekov expressed their opinion about the activities of the center, the role of individuals, Kazakh biys - orators in the Kazakh society.

Director of the Center «Personalities of the Great Steppe», Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Gulshat Nurymbetova spoke about the role of individuals in society and introduced the authors of the published books.

Chairman of the Arys Foundation, Doctor of Philology Anes Garifolla, writer, Candidate of Historical Sciences Koishibai Beibit, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Kalysh Amanzhol spoke at the debate.

During the event, the books were presented. Renowned scientists and public figures opened it.

The Great Steppe gave birth to the world of remarkable personalities who influenced the course of history and the development of mankind. Nomadic Turks - reformers made a special contribution to the treasury of world culture, to world ethnic history.

The purpose of publishing books is to show to the young generation the value and significance of the personality of Kazakh biys, batyrs and zhyrau, who played an outstanding role in the socio-political life of Kazakhs. These books prove that the history of the Great Steppe with such personalities was interesting.

The books are written, are addressed to a wide range of readers, especially young people - students and schoolchildren - taking into account their age characteristics, requirements, psychology, etc.
