Use of the state language in official internet resources and visual information

On November 26, 2020, at the National scientific centre «Til-Kazyna» named after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov the republican online seminar «Use of the state language in official Internet resources and visual information», organized by the Committee on languages of the Ministry of culture and sports of RK took place. A representative of the Public Relations Department of the Abai KazNPU Rima Zhanbayeva attended the seminar.

The chairman of Committee of language policy of the Ministry of culture and sports of RK Adilbek Kaba acted as the moderator of a seminar which has informed on results of monitoring of official sites of state institutions and high schools, banks.

The seminar discussed the issues of legislative protection of the state language, publication of information only in Russian, quality of translation, time of information placement, necessity of holding state meetings in the state language, provision of readers with necessary information, incomplete translation and brief presentation of the Kazakh version in Russian, publication of annual reports of educational institutions and organizations only in Russian.

During the event, a number of reports were made on the provision of advertising texts and information on the website and social networks. At the end of the seminar, proposals were made to strengthen the requirements for the site, eliminate errors, strengthen editorial and correction activities. It was also noted that in the future the committee will monitor sites and social networks of government agencies and educational institutions, banks and companies.
