National student festival «Abai Alemi»

As part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbayev, under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Student Arts Festival «Abai Alemi» started. The festival was held in two stages. The qualifying round of the Festival was held in all higher educational institutions of the republic on October 30-31 this year.

On December 4-5 this year, in honor of the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev, the final stage of the national festival of student creativity «World of Abai» was held in order to popularize the literary heritage of Hakim Abai among young people.

The festival was attended by 257 candidates from 61 universities in the country. The festival was held as part of the competitions «Abai`s Poems», «Abai`s Black words», «Abai`s Songs», «Abai - in the languages of the world», «Abai`s World - in art».

The rector of our University Takir Balykbayev, who wished good luck to all participants, opened the opening ceremony of the festival.

Well-known public figures, cultural figures, famous writers judged the art of the talented youth. . In particular, Honored worker of Kazakhstan Talgat Kuzenbayev, Honored worker of Kazakhstan, actor, holder of the order «Kurmet» Bolat Abdylmanov, member of the Union of artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Batan Shattyk, chief researcher Of the Institute of literature and art named after M. Auezov, Professor Gulzhakhan Orda, chief researcher of the Institute of literature and art named after Auezov Alimzhan Khamraev, visiting Professor of the University of Kentucky (USA), Bakhyt Alipova, I. Associate Professor of Zhetysu state University named after Zhansugurov Nuraly of Atamkulov, head of the Almaty Studio «Kazakh radio», poet-journalist Bakhyt Kutpanbayev.

According to the results of the final stage, 36 applicants were ahead and took prizes. On December 5, the Festival`s award ceremony was held, during which the winners of each category were awarded special diplomas and cash prizes.

The festival opened with a monologue by Abai, and the dancers of the dance group «Dara» presented a special dance composition to the songs of Hakim Abai. «Then to the audience was presented the video `Abai year in Abai University». Also within the framework of the Festival was organized an exhibition of the best works of the participants of the competition «Abai`s World - in art».

According to the results of six competitions, the 1st place was taken by students and each winner was awarded a certificate in the amount of 200,000 KZT:
1st place in the competition «Poems of Abai» - a student of the University of foreign languages and business career, Yerzhan Iskakov;
1st place in the competition «Words of Abai» - a student of the Egyptian University of Islamic culture Nur-Mubarak Daniyar Kamerbayev;
1st place in the competition «Abai in the languages of the world» foreign students of Abai KazNPU - Onktango Christian, Onktango Aleli;
1st place in the competition «Art of Abai» - student of Abai KazNPU Erbol Meruert;
1st place in the competition «songs of Abai» (with special musical education) - student of Kaznua «Shabyt» Aubakirova Bakhytgul;
1st place in the competition «songs of Abai» (without special musical education) - student of Turan University, Bekmukhanbet Birlik.

In addition, at the end of each competition, the winners of the 2nd place were awarded certificates in the amount of 100,000 KZT, the 3rd place-75,000 KZT, the winner in the «Abai Prize» category-50,000 KZT, the Diploma holder-50,000 KZT, and the winners of the Incentive award-30,000 KZT (Appendix 1).

It should be noted that this year was special for our University. In honor of the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaevich, our University announced the «Year of Abai», which became the basis for many scientific, educational and educational events.
