Winter School discusses problems of distance learning at the country and abroad

 

On January 13, 2021, at Abai KazNPU held two sessions as part of the Winter School «Pedagogical education in the format of distance learning».

 

At the first session Ulzharkyn Abdigapbarova - acting director of the Department of Science - conducted seminars on «Methodology of assessment and review procedures for scientific papers by ASAP» and «Scival as a tool to enhance scientific competitiveness».

 

The event was attended by deputy directors of institutes for scientific work, heads of departments, scientific supervisors and doctoral students. They got acquainted with the benefits of ASAP in remote monitoring and improvement of scientific papers. Yulia Kalchun presented the algorithm of ASAP system which helps to identify plagiarism for correction of scientific papers by scientific supervisors. Rabiga Kazhimkulova - introduced Scival as a tool to improve scientific competitiveness, the results of research in the field of citation and its tools, the role of collaboration in achieving research productivity.

 

The participants of the session noted the relevance of the materials provided by the speakers, discussed their vision of the problems associated with scientific research HEIs.

 

The second session was devoted to «Distance Learning in Foreign Countries». The session was prepared by Marzhan Tadzhieva, Director of the International Cooperation Department. An in-depth analysis of the problems associated with proctoring in distance learning environments was presented. Foreign speakers presented their experience in organizing this form: Ilona Tandzegolskienė - Vice-Chancellor of Vytautas Magnus University of Lithuania and Daria Milyaeva - Head of International Cooperation Department of Moscow City Pedagogical University (Russia).
