Webometrics:Abai University - in the top seven universities of Kazakhstan!

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities-2021, a semiannual international ranking of the world`s best educational institutions` websites, was published today. The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is a global ranking of global universities based on a combined index that takes into account the demand for a university website and the publications of its researchers in the Scopus and Google Scholar systems.

Abai University`s website was ranked 4596th out of 15843 global universities in the Webometrics ranking. Compared to July 2020 (4995), we have risen by 399 positions.

According to new Webometrics data, Abai KazNPU entered the top 7 universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, taking 7th place (2020 - 8th place). Among pedagogical universities we are ranked 1st. In terms of scientific indicators (Excellence Rank*), Abai University ranks 5th in this ranking.

Web-indicators, which are used to analyse the university`s research activity, allow us to identify the extent to which faculty and students are involved in research activities. The Cybermetrics Lab methodology builds a ranking algorithm for universities based on three indicators: Impact, Openness, Excellence.

The annual promotion of Abai KazNPU under the leadership of Rector Takir Balykbayev once again confirms its stable position in the world system of higher education. Participation in international rankings allows the university to position itself in the world scientific space, to enter the international educational environment, to harmonize educational and research processes with international rules and standards, to improve the quality of educational services and to find new opportunities for growth.

Abai University shares the position with the leaders of scientific and educational market of the world, and for many years has consistently been the leading pedagogical university of Kazakhstan.
