Presentation of the album «Abai»

The presentation of the album «Abai», published by the international organisation «TURKSOY» and also the award ceremony of the representatives of the scientific intelligentsia with the honorary medal «TURKSOY» named after Abai in gratitude for their special contribution to the popularization of the heritage of Abai were held on February 2, 2021, in our University.

The event was attended by: the Secretary General of the international organization of Turkic culture «TURKSOY» Dyusen Kaseinov, the rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev, the Chairman of the Board of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan, honored worker of the RK Ulugbek Esdaulet, Director of the research Institute «Abai» of Al-Farabi KazNU, academician of NAS RK, doctor of philological Sciences Zhangara Dadebayev, holder of the order «Parasat», Honored worker of Kazakhstan, writer, translator, screenwriter, film Director Bakhytzhan Kanapyanov, professor of Al-Farabi KazNU, doctor of Philology Canibas Madibaeva etc.

Rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbayev made a welcoming speech, who noted that Abai Kunanbayev is a well-known writer, poet and educator not only of Kazakhstan, but also of the entire Turkic community. In addition, Takir Ospanovich spoke about the activities carried out at our university in order to popularize the wisdom of the great thinker, Hakim Abai around the world, as well as the activities of the Abai centers in foreign partner universities.

The Secretary General of TURKSOY, Dyusen Kaseinov, stressed that Abai`s wise sayings reflect the richness of the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.

Then the event continued with the presentation of the album «Abai», published by the International organization «TURKSOY». And also, the Secretary General of TUKSOY, Dyusen Kaseinov was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Abai KazNPU.

Dyusen Kaseinov awarded TURKSOY honorary medal in honour of Abay and Certificate of Merit of this international organisation to a number of leading scientists and public representatives of Kazakhstan, who contributed greatly to the study of literary and cultural heritage of Abai. Among the awardees are abaeologist, Professor Mekemtas Myrzakhmetuly, Serik Kaskabasov, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhangara Dadebayev, Rector of Abai KazNPU Takir Balykbaev, other scientists, professors and teachers.
