Literary evening «Poetry, are you my twin...»

On February 9, 2021, the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature named after S. Kirabayev of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, organized a literary evening «Poetry, are you my twin...», dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev by the students of the 3rd group of the 1st year of specialty 6В01701 «Kazakh language and literature».

The group`s adviser, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor Zhanalyk Baltabayeva; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Alpysbay Tamayev; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Yersayin Moldasanov; Deputy Director for Education, Candidate of Philological Sciences Yerlan Kassenov attended the event.

The guests shared their thoughts on the work of the Kazakh poet-lyricist Mukagali Makatayev, who glorified the bright facets of the national character, the best examples of spiritual values.

The students of the group read the poet`s poems «Poetry, are you my twin...», «I am a highlander», «If you want to become a friend», «Leave everything» and others, as well as poems of their own authorship dedicated to the poet. In addition, songs were performed to the verses of Mukagali Makatayev.
