N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University signed a Memoranda of Cooperation

On August 6 this year, Chairman of the Managemnet Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev and Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Darkhan Bilyalov signed a Memoranda of cooperation.

The purpose of Memoranda is to establish and develop cooperation in the research area, conduct joint events, open dialogue platforms and discussion platforms on the interaction of religions, cultures and civilizations.

Taking into account the common areas of work and priorities, the Center and University intend to cooperate in the implementation of common projects, including the organization of international conferences, thematic exhibitions on promoting the unique Kazakhstani model of interfaith and interethnic harmony at the international level. The sides agreed to make every effort to develop academic cooperation - to organize professional practice and internships for students and undergraduates of the University on the basis of the Center. As part of the implementation of Memoranda concluded by the Center this year, planning to organize a number of international and regional events with the participation of the scientific and expert community.

Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev, noting the importance of cooperation of the Center with leading world and domestic educational institutions, research institutes and experts, stressed that Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University is one of the largest centers of national science and culture, engaged not only in the preparation of highly professional teachers, but also young scientists of various research areas.

In particular, Bulat Sarsenbayev congratulated Darkhan Bilyalov on assuming the post of Rector of KazNPU, informing him about the implementation of a set of events by N. Nazarbayev Center, timed to coincide with 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan`s Independence, plans to prepare for XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress in 2021 and VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in 2022.

For his part, Rector Darkhan Bilyalov expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of joint events and projects in areas of mutual interest, the development of interfaith and intercivilizational dialogue.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the key goals and objectives of N. Nazarbayev Center in promoting international initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev, which are aimed at finding effective solutions in establishing interfaith harmony.
