Round table «Constitution is the basis of development of society and state»

On August 27, 2021, online round table «Constitution is the basis of society and state development», dedicated to 26th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was opened by Shyngys Nurlanov, Vice-Rector for Social Development, who spoke about the main aspects of the main document of the country and congratulated all participants with the Constitution Day of Kazakhstan.

Professor of the Institute of History and Law, Doctor of Law Bakhytzhan Toleubekova, Head of the Department of Political Science and Social and Philosophical Disciplines Zhomart Simtikov, Associate Professor of International Law Department of Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute Kadir Nurgalym took part in the event.

Participants spoke about the history of the Constitution of our country and its multifaceted role and importance in the life of modern Kazakhstani society, in ensuring rights and freedoms of every citizen, creation of democratic, legal and social state. There was an active debate on the theme of the round table, participants and students exchanged their views.

The round table was organised on the initiative of the Department for Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy and the Institute of History and Law.
