a virtual tour of Almaty and Abai KazNPU has started

On September 27, 2021, the Director of the Department of Science, Ulzharkyn Abdigapbarova launched a virtual visit of the German delegation to the Abai KazNPU within the framework of the international project «Pedagogical Professionalism and Internationalization - Dialogue with the Post-Soviet Islamic Educational Space» led by her. The project is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) from the funds of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Higher Education Dialogue with the Muslim World program. The project participants are Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, FAU, Armavir State Pedagogical University and Abai KazNPU.

The goal is to study the problem of pedagogical professionalism in the context of internationalization and contribute to professional and cultural dialogue with the post-Soviet Islamic world.

Darhan Bilyalov, Chairman of the Board-Rector of Abai KazNPU, made a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of the international project in the preparation of professionally competent, socially responsible and competitive teachers and scientists in the context of the internationalization of education and in the formation of an international cultural, scientific, educational and innovative space.

Banu Narbekova, Deputy Director of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dwelled on the trends in the development of education in our country at the present stage and named examples of the best experience in internationalization over the years of independence: Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, Nazarbayev University, the Bolashak scholarship program, the initiative «El umiti».

Ulza Hajiyeva presented the specifics of the development of education in Azerbaijan and spoke about the specifics of the implementation of the project from the Azerbaijani side. The project coordinator from the German side Meren Henken, thanking the project participants, focused on the thematic areas of the project. Deputy Director of the International Center under the auspices of UNESCO in Almaty Aibek Sydykov emphasized the importance of rapprochement of cultures for coordinating the intellectual interaction of scientists and cultural figures in the field of sustainable development at the international level and wished good luck to the project and Kazakh-German cooperation. Saya Baysultanova, doctoral student at Abai KazNPU, and Aidana Kizatova, a 4th year student, spoke about joint work in this project with foreign partners and the impressions received as a result of the exchange of experience.

A virtual tour of the city of Almaty and KazNPU named after Abai was presented at the event. The seminar «Education, Culture and Religion» worked in the format of three thematic groups, a discussion of the peculiarities of the development of education, culture and religion at the local level took place. The role of the younger generation in the formation of global citizenship is noted, and education is defined as a tool for transforming the world at the present stage.

The project involved 22 people from Abai KazNPU. Among them are teachers, post-doctoral students, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.
