Doctoral student of Abai University successfully completed a scientific internship in Turkey

Serik Bakirov, 3rd year doctoral student of «Biology» educational program, specialty 8D05101-biological and mixed sciences, Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, Abai KazNPU, from October 8 to November 4, 2021, successfully completed his foreign research internship at Kirshehir Ahi Evran University in Turkey.

At first days of internship the vice-rector of Turkish University Mustafa Kurt and dean of agriculture faculty Akhmet Kazankaya met our student, warmly drawing attention to his job and wished good luck.

Within the framework of the project «Opportunities for the implementation of agricultural education and the sector (AHİLAB.A4.21.002)», written under the leadership of foreign leader Kadir Akan, a Kazakh student together with domestic leaders A.K. Madenov and K. Galymbek, he visited 4 universities, 5 kindergartens, 3 firms, 5 research institutes and, having exchanged experience, gained new knowledge.

During the internship they studied the following research topics: methods for determining the morphology of wheat rye diseases, the use of fertilizers for cereals and fruit crops, DNA distribution and PCR methods, methods of growing crops in soilless environment, MiniTAB17 (One Away Anova) program, new devices for determining plant products (GreensSeeker, SPAD-502) and new programs for displaying electronic models of plants (AquaCrop, DSSAT, Cropsyst, CERES, WOFOST).
