Application for instant emergency notification

Almaty launched a free mobile application for instant notification of an emergency.

The project was implemented by the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty. The mobile application is available for download to all owners of smartphones and tablets based on the Android and IOS operating systems in the state, Russian and English languages.

The application allows for a few seconds to massively inform the population about the threat and the occurrence of emergencies on the territory of Almaty (including storm warnings). In the future, this application will also notify about earthquakes after the introduction of an early warning system about them.

From April 15, 2019, the Emergency Situations Department will be informed about emergency situations by the Darmen mobile app along with an SMS alert.
