The results of the pedagogical internship of student in the master`s program in Translation studies

2nd year undergraduates of the specialty «7M02302-Translation Studies» of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, under the guidance of Professor A.K. Zhumabekova undertook a pedagogical internship from November 8 to December 4 of the current year (this academic year, the deadlines were extended due to the Master`s Degree Students` scientific internships in Turkey in November).

The base of internship was Bachelor`s program: the internship was carried out within the academic studies of 1st and 2nd year students of Bachelor`s program in «6В02302 - Translation Studies» of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education.

The Preliminary Conference was held on November 8, 2021; the aims, objectives and structure of pedagogical internship were explained to Master`s Degree Students. Since November 19, they have begun to conduct open lessons. According to the requirements of the pedagogical internship program, its participants had to attend open lessons and assign a grade to students of Bachelor`s program. All candidates for a master`s degree conducted open classes in English: Tussupova Zhanara - «The lost generation writers: Fitzgerald, Hemingway» - 19.11.21; Tlendiyev Ardak- «Translation of realia» - 26.11.21; Kairbekova Aigerim - «Languages of translation. Directions of translations» - 29.11.21; Nasibullina Zulfira - «Stylistic features of translation» - 3.12.21; Baltakara Arai - «Patent. Patent translation» - 3.12.21.

At the final conference, the assessments of Master`s Degree Students were announced and the documentation on internship was checked. The Master`s Degree Students showed a high level of theoretical training, gained good practical experience in teaching and are ready to hold classes of translation disciplines in the future at the bachelor`s and college levels!
