Nauryz meyramy at Abai KazNPU was held at a high level

According to a good tradition established in Abai KazNPU the great holiday - Nauryz meyramy «Az-Nauryz Abay aylynda» was celebrated.

The event was attended by Gulmira Isimbayeva, state and public figure of Kazakhstan, Chairman of Board of Directors of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, Deputy Akim of Almaty Asem Nusupova, Deputy Akim of Almaty Asem Nusupova, Rector of De Montfort University James Pounder, Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian University Tlektes Yespolov, Rector of KazNMU named after S.Asfendiyarov Talgat Nurgozhin,  vice-rector for science and international cooperation of KazNITU named after K.Satpayev Alibek Shokparov, famous graduates of our university: director of Institute of literature and art named after M. Auezov Kenjehan Matzhanov, famous designer Kuralay Nurkadilova, Kazakh pop star Gulmira Akurpekova and other distinguished guests, as well as staff, faculty and students of the university.

The long-awaited event was opened by Darkhan Bilyalov, Chairman of the Board, Rector of Abai KazNPU. He congratulated the participants on the Nauryz holiday, noting that it was a holiday of solidarity and unity of the people, renewal and creation. The Rector underlined new achievement of the University on the eve of the holiday - 4 Stars award in prestigious international rating QS Stars Rating System.

Gulmira Isimbayeva delivered her welcoming remarks and congratulated the staff of Abai University on behalf of the Board of Directors on the occasion of the Great Holiday - Nauryz. «This is a holiday of kindness and renewal, peace, unity and well-being. May the great day bring good to every family, and may it be full of well-being, joy and happiness. May our country always be safe and the unity of our nation be strengthened. According to the ancient tradition, Nauryz is the New Year. Let our new Kazakhstan prosper in the new year. I am confident that university faculty and students will contribute to the prosperity of our country», she said. G.Isimbayeva also congratulated the team of Abai KazNPU on being awarded «four stars» in the international QS Stars rating and wished them new success.

Foreign guest, Rector of De Montfort University James Pounder noted that Kazakhstan has the most developed spiritual culture in the world, and shared his impressions of our country. In addition, the head of DMU Kazakhstan congratulated the team of the University on the new achievement of Abai University in the international ranking QS Stars, wishing them wellbeing and unity. He expressed gratitude for his first participation in celebration of Nauryz in Kazakhstan and better acquaintance with traditions of our country.

The celebration featured a colourful concert programme, with performances by Kazakh pop stars and theatre groups. Yurts were set up on the square, a lavish Nauryz dastarkhan was laid out, and guests were served traditional national dishes. The festival left an unforgettable impression on everyone.
