Formation of anti-corruption culture and promotion of the ideology of integrity

In accordance with the plan to combat corruption in the academic year 2021-2022 under the project «SANALY URPAQ» in Abai KazNPU in April 2022 a round table on «The formation of anti-corruption culture and the promotion of the ideology of integrity» was held in order to interact and share experiences, to form a pool of speakers from prominent scholars and public figures. It was attended by the state and public figure, Professor Serikbay Nurgisaev, a well-known public figure, the Chairman of the Council of Veterans, Professor Berikzhan Almukhambetov, Director of the Scientific Library Imansydykova N.Zh., Acting Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics Khamraev Sh.I., students and staff of the Institute.

The meeting was held at a high organizational level in offline format, with active participation of students and their questions related to the topic were asked. There were discussed the main problems in the context of combating corruption in higher education, issues related to the Law of RK «On Combating Corruption»; preventive and repressive measures, the Code of Ethics of Public Officials, new institutions for the prevention of corruption, the risks inherent in corruption» and others. The trainees were explained the main signs of corruption and methods of combating it, in which culture, service ethics, education and integrity play a key role.

Compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001-2016 - anti-corruption management system implemented in recent years and implemented in the university - was explained to the trainees and lecturers.
