Students of the Institute of Philology visited the house-museum of Mukhtar O. Auezov
In honor of the 125th anniversary of the great Kazakh writer Mukhtar Auezov, on 5 May, 2022, the 1st year students, together with the teachers of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology Assel Almabekova, Araylim Raeva and Symbat Meirkhan, visited the scientific and cultural center «Auezov`s House». This literary and memorial museum is located in Almaty on the M.Tulebaeva street. It was opened on 28 November, the founder of Kazakh classical literature lived for the last 10 years of his life in this house (1951-1961). He completed his many years of work - the famous four-volume epic «The Path of Abai» here.
Over the years, the museum has become one of the largest centers of Kazakh and world culture. The memorial values of the House of Auezov - manuscripts, archival materials, photographs, exhibits, personal items, epistolary heritage, film, audio and video materials are the national treasure of Kazakhstan and a symbol of the country`s spiritual culture.
M. Auezov`s house has a special status that distinguishes it from other museums and cultural institutions. Along with a great cultural and educational work, its employees are engaged in scientific research and for many years they have been studying writer`s life and work, collecting and publishing his multi-volume works. Teachers and students got acquainted with the life and work of Mukhtar Auezov and received answers to their questions.
