Lectures by a foreign professor
At the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology, invited foreign scientists work annually. At the beginning of this academic year, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the department will have to attend lecture courses by the famous linguist Alexander Kiklevich. From September 1 to September 30, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) will work with students of the department`s specialties at lectures and seminars, conduct consultations for doctoral students, and take part in the scientific life of the department.
A. Kiklevich - Director of the Center for Eastern European Studies, editor-in-chief of the journals «Polonistyka» and «Przeglad Wschodnioeuropejski». His research interests lie in the theory and philosophy of language, communicative linguistics, semantics, functional grammar, syntax, psycholinguistics, comparative and applied linguistics, and the popularization of linguistic knowledge.
A. Kiklevich has been giving lectures at our university more than once. Therefore, teachers and senior students know him as a teacher who is not only passionate about the topics of his research, but also knows how to infect listeners with scientific enthusiasm.
