The 125th anniversary of the Kazakh writer Mukhtar Auezov was celebrated in Kazan
On October 17, 2022 the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan (Russia) held a commemorative event dedicated to the great Kazakh writer and scholar-philologist Mukhtar Omarkhanovich Auezov.
The event was attended by Yerlan Iskakov, Kazakhstan`s Consul General in Kazan, Murat Auezov, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan, famous cultural historian, diplomat, Svetlana Ananyeva, Head of International Relations and World Literature Department of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Roza Bakbergenova, a lecturer Abai KazNPU, Ramil Mirzagitov, Dean of the Gabdulla Tukay Higher School of National Culture and Education, Institute of Philology and International Communication, Kazan Federal University (KFU IPIC), Professor Alfiya Yusupova, Director of the Qayumi Nasyri Institute Centre of Kazan Federal University, as well as Gulfiya Gainullina, Associate Professor and Lecturer at KFU IPIC, and KFU students from the local Kazakh diaspora.
During the conference, the guests acquainted those present with the biography and works of the writer and read out extracts from Mukhtar Auezov`s most famous works in Kazakh and Tatar. Yeldos Serik, student of Abai KazNPU and member of scientific and cognitive club «Soztanym», performed dedication to M. Auezov on dombra and Alisher Maratuly - song «Kazak osy» on guitar. Club members Madina Orynbasarova, Akkumis Sabitova and Orazgul Nietbaeva took part in the organizational work.
