Applicant-2023: online conference led by principals and school graduates

On November 9, 2022, as part of the professional orientation «Profession is the first step into the future», organized by the head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Institute of Philology, N.N. Konkabayeva and Senior Lecturers N.R. Shengelbayeva, Zh.M. Elemesova, A.M. Sebdaiyrova and A.S. Zhumabayeva held an online conference.

The following school directors took part in the event: G. Zh. Mukasheva - № 4 of Arkalyk, Kostanai region and G. M. Akhmetova - № 156 of Alatau district of Almaty, as well as teachers and graduates of these schools. The 11th graders were given general information about Abai KazNPU, as well as detailed information about the specialities of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, and presentations and videos were shown to provide a wide overview of their future professions.

Information on the university`s position in international rankings and international relations with the world`s leading universities aroused great interest among the pupils. Particular attention was paid to questions such as translation, oriental and other foreign languages, general social benefits, allocation of dormitories and the possibility to win a grant for the UNT. The organisers of the event gave clear answers.

The heads of the aforementioned general education institutions noted that there were enough graduates in their regions who intended to apply to Abai KazNPU and that the information received was very useful and deserved to be disseminated to other schools in the country.
