Annual 77th Scientific Conference of Future Biologists

On November 16-17, 2022, the Department of Biology of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai KazNPU held the annual traditional 77th scientific conference of students and undergraduates. The event was actively attended by teaching staff of the Department of Biology, students and undergraduates.

The goal was to develop students` ability for scientific research, analytical and critical thinking, their involvement in solving urgent problems in the future professional sphere and science, to identify and direct talented students and undergraduates to the creative path.

The conference was held in sections: «General biology», «Methods of teaching biology», «Current state of biological science and education».

In the section «General Biology», students touched on current topics in physiology, zoology and botany. The chairman of the section is senior lecturer Beketova Aigul, secretary - lecturer Seidehan Meruert. The best reports on this section - «Down`s disease in children in Zhambyl region» (Taskul Dariga, I place), «Chemical composition, nutritional and biological value of national dishes» (Orazkhan Aruzhan, Zharikova Zhuldyzai, Aldibaeva Ayaulym, II place), «Incidence of diabetes mellitus in the West Kazakhstan region» (Bekshe Akerke, II place), «Factors influencing the spread of chromosomal diseases at the present time» (Duysenbek Alina, III place), «Analysis of morphological features of representatives of the order «Lilac» (Bekzhan Asylym, III place), «Prevention of female alcoholism among young people» (Khairzhanova Dana, III place). Sagimbayeva Karina, Kambar Gauhar, Asanova Ryskul, Tupbaeva Karakozaim and Toktarbek Medina were also awarded letters of thanks.

In the section «Methods of teaching biology», the speakers considered ways to improve the quality of students` knowledge using modern pedagogical information technologies during classes. The chairman of the section was the senior teacher Sekerova Tolganai, the secretary - teacher Zharylkasynova Zhazira. The best reports - «Effective approaches to teaching the subject «Biology» (Koben Elvira, I place), «The use of didactic games in biology lessons» (Zhanatai Nazim, II place), «Methods of preparing biology in the 7th grade» (Geld Victoria, II place), «Psychological readiness of children for school» (Ongarbai Tansholpan, Shanyar Simbat, Kayrzhanova Guldana, III place), «Improving the communicative competence of students through group work in biology lessons» (Bisengaliev Rahat, III place), «The importance of using information technology in the modern education system» (Akhilbekova Madina, III place). Letters of thanks were also received by Asset Ainur, Kuantayeva Bibatima, Aitpay Nazerke, Abidmutalipova Assel, Esen Scheherazade.

In the section «The current state of biological science and education», undergraduates examined the current problems of modern education and science and their solutions. The chairman of the section is Associate Professor Galymbek Kanat, secretary - lecturer Tolegen Altynai.

The reports recognized as the best - «Implementation of inclusive education in biology lessons» (Madina Sovetkanova, I place), «Effective information resources used in biology lessons» (Orazbek Aybar, II place), «The role of extracurricular activities in the development of ecological culture of students in biology lessons» (Beket Bibinur, II place), «Growing vegetable plants in a school greenhouse and their application in the process of teaching biology» (Shakerkhanova Madina, III place), «Formation of ecological culture in the training of biology students - the pledge of sustainable development of society» (Rzabek Perizat, III place), «The importance of forming a project culture in teacher training» (Skendirova Manshuk, III place).

The traditional conference of students and undergraduates has fully achieved its goal. We wish great success to our young people who are interested in new achievements of science and education!
