II International scientific-practical conference

On November 29-30, 2022 the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, Department of Chemistry conducted II International scientific-practical conference «Modern aspects of chemical science and chemical education: theory and practice» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professors J.A.Shokybayev and A.F.Seytzhanov and to the 70th anniversary of Professor N.K.Akhmetov. The event was attended by foreign scientists from Poland, Russia and Uzbekistan.

Maktagali Bektemesov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai KazNPU, opening the conference, wished success to all participants and guests. Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of the Academic Affairs Department, congratulated the jubilees and expressed his best wishes to them. Representatives of the rectorate handed over to the jubilees a congratulatory address of Darhan Bilyalov, Chairman of the Board-Rector of the University, and awarded Zhenis Shokybaev with a badge «For Special Merit» and Azimkhan Seytzhanov with a badge «Best Teacher». They also were presented with national shapans and flowers.

Kulash Kaimuldinova, Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography, made a bibliographical review of the work of Professors J. A. Shokybayev, A. F. Seytzhanov and N. K. Akhmetov. Professors of Al-Farabi KazNU Kuanyshbek Musabekov, Kurmangali Bekishev, professors of Abai KazNPU Zhumadil Shildebaev, Talgat Uvaliev, PhD Maymataeva Asiya, Duman Alaskarov delivered their welcome speeches.

At the conference, the presentation of the new Chemistry textbook by Zhenis Shokybaev took place. The red ribbon of the new book was ceremoniously cut by foreign guests Jozef Haponiuk (Poland) and Mirkozimjon Nishonov (Uzbekistan).

At the plenary session, the speakers raised topical issues of chemical science and chemical education, expressed their opinion on the methods and techniques used in this field.
