Independence Day RK-2022 tournament

From 5 to 19 December 2022 in Almaty a tournament dedicated to the Independence Day of the RK in sporting events (volleyball, basketball, football) was held. Organizer - Sport Administration of Almaty city. More than 65 teams participated in competition.

National teams of Abai KazNPU actively participated in volleyball (girls and boys), basketball (girls and boys).

According to the results of the tournament the women`s volleyball team of our university won silver medals. Coach - senior lecturer of Physical Education and Sports Department Suleimenova Adelina. National volleyball team (boys) posted two playing squads, which won silver and bronze medals, taking 2nd and 3rd places. The coach is Erik Ismailov, teacher of the Department of Physical Education and Sport. The basketball team (girls) took the 4th place, the men`s team took the 5th place. Coaches - teachers of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Zhakyp Kuanysh and Temirkhanov Erlan.
