26.12.2022 Professional development courses for authors of school textbooks
The courses were conducted in a distance learning format.
The course programme was aimed at raising the professional level of the authors in the field of development of school textbooks and tools for the examination of textbooks and teaching and methodical complexes as part of the updating of the content of secondary education and pre-school education and upbringing. Much attention was paid to the improvement of skills in implementing the requirements for writing school textbooks and pre-school education and upbringing in accordance with the current legal and regulatory acts in the field of education.
There were 123 trainees from «Almatykitat», «Atamura», «Arman PV», «Bilim Nury» publishing houses and research workers of National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin. The trainees of the courses were both current authors and author teams, as well as teachers-practitioners who are starting to write textbooks and teaching complexes.
There were 18 leading scientists in the field of textbook studies: 9 of them were Abai KazNPU.
The aim of the program is to raise the professional level of authors in the field of development of school textbooks and teaching aids; tools of expertise of textbooks and teaching-methodical complex within the renewal of the content of secondary and preschool education and upbringing (PEU).
Program objectives - to develop skills of potential authors of school textbooks and teaching aids of PEU to implement the requirements for textbook writing in accordance with the current legal and regulatory acts in the field of education.
Expected results - writing of school textbooks and teaching and methodical complexes, corresponding to perspective directions of improvement of RK education.
Specificity of these courses was training of big group of authors of teaching-methodical complexes for system of preschool education and upbringing (PEU) in connection with approval of Model of development of preschool education and training and its realization. Much attention was paid to the principles of development of variable curricula, use of diverse methods and teaching technologies, forms, methods and techniques of organization of the educational process, quality criteria for PEU.
