Workshop "Tuberculosis and its prevention"

In connection with the registration of several cases of tuberculosis in the university and in order to prevent the spread of the disease among students and teachers, a seminar entitled "Tuberculosis and its prevention" was held on February 10, 2023.

The event was held in room 202 of the main academic building. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students and lecturers of the institute participated.

At the seminar phthisiatrician of city polyclinic №1 G.G. Durmanova, docent of phthisiopulmonology chair, candidate of medical sciences A.G. Isayeva and students of 5th course of S.D. Asfendiyarov KazNMU gave information on tuberculosis, ways of its transmission and prevention. The importance of annual preventive (fluorographic) examinations was highlighted. Students asked questions of interest to them: "How many times can I have a fluorography?", "Can I be cured of TB?", "How long does the treatment last?", "Can TB be treated with folk methods?" and received comprehensive answers. At the end of the workshop, the students received brochures on the prevention of this dangerous airborne disease.
