What is religious literacy?

On February 17, 2023, teachers of the Department of World History of the Institute of History and Law, Master Ruslan Seitkaziyev and Didar Mamyrbaev, took part in the seminar of secondary school No. 9 of the village of Baiserke of the Department of Education of the Ili district of the Almaty region.

The event, organised by the Education department of the Ili district, was attended by heads of educational work of schools of the region. Seminar theme: «What is religious literacy?». During the seminar, teachers of secondary school No. 9 conducted open educational classes. According to the seminar program, Ruslan Omirgazula held a master class on the topic «Religious literacy-public discussion». On the topic «Public discussion of religion and secularism» a meeting was held with specialists-religious scholars, theologians, historians. The meeting was attended by Didar Mamyrbaev, Ruslan Seitkaziyev, head of the Center for the Study of Religious Problems of Almaty Region, Bauyrzhan Temen. The event was held in the form of questions and answers. The results of the event were summed up and a decision was made. The seminar was held at its level.
