Problems of art education in schools were discussed

On February 22, 2023, Abai KazNPU held a round table of the EMA-PMG in the direction of training teachers (teachers) of fine arts and drawing on the topic «Improvement and modernization of art education in schools» with the participation of representatives of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Education of Almaty, JSC NCPC «Orleu», school directors, teachers fine arts, labor training, technology, graphics and design.

The round table discussed issues on the implementation of the Concept of Education development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026 (the content of secondary education), on the improvement and modernization of art education in schools, on the content of continuing education in schools: fine arts, graphics and design.

With an introductory speech, the round table was opened by the deputy. Chairman of the EMA-PMG in the field of education «Pedagogical Sciences» on the basis of Abai KazNPU, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Gulzhan Jarasova.

The moderator of the round table was Zoya Rabilova, the head of the project team in the direction of training teachers (teachers) of fine arts and drawing.

Presentations were made by: Gulsara Zharimbetova, teacher of Art work at Gymnasium No. 21 in Almaty, Svetlana Shapkina, methodologist of art work at the Department of Education in Almaty.
In order to increase the competitiveness of art education, the participants of the round table constructively discussed the problems of training teachers of fine arts, labor training, technology and drawing within groups of educational programs that require creative training.

As a result of the round table, specific recommendations were developed for further submission to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
