VII International aytys of young akyns

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU the qualifying stage of the traditional VII international aytys of young akyns "Menin pirim Süyinbay" was held on April 6, 2023. The event was opened by Jursyn Erman, honoured figure of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of the International Union of akyns and zhyrshy termeshi, famous poet, holder of orders "Parasat" and "Kurmet".

38 talented poets from Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan and all over Kazakhstan competed in the qualifying stage of the contest. The members of jury were doctor of philological sciences, professor Baltabay Abdigaziuly, famous akyn-aitisker Serik Kaliev, head of Ulytau regional department of culture, development of languages and archives Omar Anuar.

The 18 participants who performed well in the qualifying stage made it to the final. Young poets were given letters of appreciation from the rector for active participation and branded products of the university. In addition, the sponsor of the event, head of the Asyltas Public Foundation and member of the Almaty City Maslikhat, Dulat Tastekeev, presented monetary rewards to the participants.
