Reflexive practice as an important research skill of a teacher

On April 6, 2023, the Department of Pedagogy of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU held a university-wide scientific and methodological online seminar on the topic: "Reflexive practice is the basis for increasing the research activity of a teacher".

The purpose of the seminar is to discuss the relevance and introduction of reflexive practice into the educational process as a basis for professional self-improvement of a teacher and increasing his research activity.

The seminar was held according to the research plan of the department and within the framework of the grant project IRN AR 14872311 "Theory and technology of development of research activity of university teachers based on integration into practice of informal forms of research as Action Research".

The seminar was attended by the director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, associate professor G.A.Abayeva, Head of the Department, c.p.s., Professor Abai KazNPU Sh.Zh. Kolumbayeva, as well as teaching staff of Abai KazNPU, Institute of Tollyatti State University, Omsk State Pedagogical University (Russia), Al-Farabi KazNU, Gumilev ENU, KazNWTTU, Sh.Yesenov University, S.Seifullin Agrotechnical University (Astana), E.Buketov KarSU, University "Turan", KAU, ATU, St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions, teachers of NIS Almaty, doctoral students, undergraduates.

Based on the informative speeches of the speakers of the seminar: a research professor of Abai KazNPU A.E.Berikkhanova, Academic Director of JOO High Schools N.R.Elshibekov, The types and functions of pedagogical reflection, the influence of pedagogical reflection on the research activity of teachers were revealed by the Post-doctoral researcher B.O.Sapargaliyeva, the main mechanisms, levers of stimulation and stages of the introduction of reflexive practice into the professional activities of teachers were discussed, and successful foreign models of reflexive teaching in the UK, USA, Finland, etc. were considered.

During the discussion of the key points of the seminar, the head of the Department, professor of Abai KazNPU Sh.Zh.Kolumbayeva, associate professor Zh.K.Ibraimova, teacher-expert of the NIS Almaty D.K.Baydildinova, professor of the Faculty of SPHUTU L.O.Sarsenbayeva, senior lecturer F.B.Asilbayeva, professor of Tollyatti State University, Irina Viktorovna Rudenko expressed a desire to conduct a joint methodological seminar, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Teaching Methods Pisarenko Danila Andreevich actively participated in the discussion of methods of stimulating teachers to research activities and gave constructive feedback.
