Student ethno-festival "The basis of well-being - unity"

On May 3, 2023 within the limits of the 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU, the chair of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and Institute of philology held student ethno-festival "The basis of well-being - unity". The event was dedicated to the state holiday - the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.

Shyngyz Nurlanov, Vice Rector for Social Development, opened the ethno-festival with a solemn greeting. Another congratulatory word was given to Nurzhan Abdieva, a member of the Kyrgyz ethno-cultural association "Muras" and Chairperson of the Council of Mothers. She expressed her gratitude to the Kazakh people and other ethnic groups living in our country. During the celebration, guests from the House of Friendship in Almaty performed the dance "Dombra" by the dance group "Aynalayyn", as well as folk song theatre performances and other performances from different ethno-cultural centres. Students from the Institute of Philology also took an active part in the concert. They performed "My Life" in Arabic and "Kiralık aşk" in Turkish, while the dance group "Chanel" performed French dances and Korean dances. Another highlight of this festive event were performances by "Dostyk", "Birlik", "Tattulyk" and "Yntymak" groups from four departments of the institute.

Guests of the ethno-festival also tasted dishes of the national cuisine of the peoples of Kazakhstan, reflecting their centuries-old traditions and culture. The audience, impressed by the originality of the festive event, expressed their gratitude to the organizers and active participants. There was a unanimous opinion: life under one shanyrak teaches tolerance, appreciating friendship of peoples, peace and unity in our country.
