My family is my homeland

On May 15, 2023 on the occasion of the International Day of the Family at the Institute of History and Law, head of the research project "Zhas ғalym", funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, PhD Darya Asymova held a photo exhibition in the scientific project "Retrospective family history of XX-XXI centuries: the visual nature of tradition and modernism in Kazakhstan" with the participation of schools in Almaty on the theme "My family - my homeland. The aim was to promote family values among young people, to acquaint them with the history of the family institution and to instil respect for older generations.

The event was attended by gymnasium No. 159 named after Y. Altynsarin, high schools No. 123, 55 and 208. Their students made presentations on the history of their families, decorating them with photos from their personal archives. According to the students, preparing for this photo exhibition, they learned a lot of new and interesting things about the history of their families. At the end of the exhibition, the students and their supervisors were presented with diplomas and letters of thanks.
