Training "Prevention of bullying against children"

On May 18-19, 2023 in Abai KazNPU training "Prevention of bullying against children" was held with the participation of 52 students in grades 8-9 of school gymnasium № 168 and school-lyceum № 173 in Almaty. The event was held in the framework of the target funding programme of the Science Committee of the MSHE "Development of measures to prevent bullying and cyberbullying among children and adolescents and study their current aspects".

Trainers: Anar Aymoldanovna Alimbekova - Associate Professor, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Abai KazNPU, Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy; Zhukenova Gulpara Baltabaevna - Associate Professor, PhD, L.N. Gumilev ENU, Faculty of Social Sciences.

The aim of the training is to form interpersonal relations of students on the basis of norms of tolerant behaviour and to promote psycho-emotional climate, to teach to recognize and resist bullying. Objectives - to develop an understanding of the causes and forms of bullying and cyberbullying; to analyse how participants react to a bullying situation from an observer`s perspective; to develop socially humane personal motives in communication; to teach constructive responses to conflicts; to teach setting and achieving goals; to teach planning and aspiring to a life perspective.
