The republican forum "Development of psychological service in higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held

On May 30, 2023, the Psychological Service sector organized the republican forum "Development of psychological service in Higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan". The Forum was opened with welcoming words from the Chairman of the Board-Rector Darkhan Nurlanovich. Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akerke Abylaikhan took part in the forum through an online zoom and identified the importance of psychological services in the work of universities.

The main purpose of the forum is to assist psychologists of higher educational institutions of the country in forming a psychologically comfortable environment among students, to integrate the activities of the psychological service and the exchange of experience between specialists. The forum was attended by more than 80 psychologists, faculty and vice-rectors from 58 higher educational institutions from all over the republic.

In the first part of the event, PhD, Associate Professor Manshuk Askarovna conducted a training course "Prospects for the development and integration of psychological services". Manshuk Askarovna shared her experience and methods necessary for psychologists to study student youth. At the end of the training, the Vice-rector for Social Development of our university, Shyngys Nurlanovich, presented certificates to all participants.

In the second part of the event, the psychologist of the "Psychological Service" sector, Saida Doskarkyzy, acquainted the participants with the activities of the "Psychological Service" sector, and psychologist Aliya Tulegenovna shared her research work on the topic "Psychological portrait of a student".

The psychological notebook "Shabyttan", compiled by psychologists for students with the support of the university administration, was also presented at the forum.

During the forum, in the framework of an open microphone, participants exchanged views with each other, discussed common issues, and professors and psychologists made their suggestions.

At the end of the event, participants from different regions visited the cultural and historical sites of Almaty.
