Abai University in global rating QS World University Rankings-2024

The results of the QS World University Rankings-2024 international ranking have been published, in which Abai University took the position 681-690. A total of 2,963 universities from 104 countries took part in the ranking, 1,500 of them were ranked. Kazakhstan is represented by 21 universities in the global university ranking, among them KazNPU named after Abai, as well as last year it retained the 6th place.

This year, in honor of the 20th anniversary of this rating, the QS WURS methodology was supplemented with three new indicators: International Research Network, Employment Results, Sustainable Development.

Thus, ranking in QS WUR 2024 now takes place according to 6 traditional and 3 new indicators, which in turn has a significant impact on the dynamics of positions in the rating. So, in general, there was a shift in the Kazakh segment towards losing positions compared to last year, which is due to the prevalence of the updated methodology of the research component.

The top five of the world`s leading universities are MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
