Joint project "TANYM TRAVEL 2023"

From June 15 to June 21, 2023 Abai KazNPU in collaboration with Satpayev KazNRTU realized the cognitive excursion project "TANIM-TRAVEL". The aim is to promote the spiritual development of young people and to acquaint them with cultural and memorial monuments of their native land of Abay Kunanbaiuly, Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly and Kanysh Satpayev, as well as with sacred objects of our country.

A group of around 70 active students from two national universities began their tour from Lake Balkhash. They made a stopover and camped in the area.

On June 16 according to the planned route the participants of the project went to Karaganda. They visited the museum "In memory of victims of political repressions" in the village Dolinka in Karaganda region.

On June 17 the project participants went to Astana, where they visited "Baiterek" complex, the main mosque of the capital, and the biggest museum of the country - National Museum of Kazakhstan, where they got familiar with unique exhibits. The team then travelled to Ekibastuz and Bayanaul National Park. Making a stop at Lake Zhasybay, everyone enjoyed the nature and beauty of Bayanaul.

Leaving in the early morning of the 18th of June participants of the project visited the cave "Qonir yuliye" situated in an unusual place. Having asked their treasured wishes and admired the beauty of nature, they went to the memorial museum of academician K.I.Satpayev. After getting acquainted with the life of the great scientist and plunged into his fascinating journey into the world of science, they toured the exhibits of the museum. After that we visited the mausoleum and memorial museum of Mashhur-Zhusup Kopeev, where the manuscripts and personal belongings of the poet are represented. Also we were acquainted with the interesting facts about his life. Then we went to Pavlodar, where we had a warm meeting. The staff and active students of Pavlodar Pedagogical University named after A. Margulan showed real Kazakh hospitality. Friendly relations were formed between the three national universities.

On June 19, after having walked along the bank of Irtysh river, having looked at the sights of the city, all participants visited Pavlodar Regional Museum of History named after G.N.Potanin. Having acquainted with ancient relics found near the Irtysh banks, they plunged into the history of this land.

At noon a group of two universities went to the centre of Abay region - in Semey. Together with young people from Shakarim University, they visited the Abay Memorial Museum. Equipped with new technology, it carefully preserves the rich heritage associated with the life and work of the great poet and philosopher. After the museum we visited the city of Semey itself and the main building of Shakarim University. The staff and active students presented the museum of the university in order to learn the history of their institution.

On 20 June, the tour participants visited the local forest and contributed to nature conservation by clearing weeds from the recently planted conifers. Then they went on their way. Along the way, visiting Abay`s home region and the mausoleum of the victims of unhappy love, Enlik and Kebek, we arrived in Zhidebay. We toured the mausoleum of Abay Kunanbaiuly and Shakarim Kudaiberdiuly. 

The next destination was Lake Alakol. On June 21 the team of two universities came to Alakol lake, admired the nature and went to Almaty with a special feeling.
