Memoranda and co-operation agreements were signed

In the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute Abai University within the VIII Kazakh-French forum a historical ceremony of signing memorandums and agreements on cooperation with 6 universities of Kazakhstan - Abai University, Satbayev University, East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev, International University of Information Technologies, Maqsut Narikbayev University and Alma-Ata University of Power Engineering and Communications was held. The most important documents were the agreement between Abai University and the French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC), as well as a memorandum of co-operation with the public association "French Alliance Almaty".

The first agreement is aimed at establishing an institutional partnership in research activities between IFEAC and Abai University in various fields, including international law, economics, history and others. The co-operation envisages joint scientific and educational activities, publication of scientific papers, as well as participation in scientific training of students.

The Memorandum of Cooperation with the Public Association "French Alliance Almaty" is aimed at popularising the French language and culture of this country at Abai University. This includes the organisation of international examinations in French DELF DALF for students of Abai University, the use on the basis of partnership of information, personnel and organisational resources in planning and implementation of joint activities, professional development of teachers, exchange of experience and the possibility of attracting native speakers to teach our students within the framework of French language programs, as well as to hold discussion and thematic clubs on the basis of the university.

Agreements with the above-mentioned domestic universities reflect a new stage in strengthening ties between Kazakhstan and France in the field of education, culture and science, opening new doors for promising co-operation and knowledge exchange.
