From student to entrepreneur...

On November 9, 2023, students of Abai KazNPU met with well-known business experts of the country. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Social Development Shyngys Nurlanov, President and founder of the international company Energy Max Group, distributor of exclusive products, founder of the MAX NRG retail chain, head of the Maxilin dairy products company Nurim Abdykalikov, Chairman of the Board of the International Association of Student Entrepreneurship Ergazy Abdimanap, head of the educational company 3 CEO, Doctor of Business Administration Didar Boltaev and Head of the The sales department was attended by business expert Arman Serikuly and students studying.

Shyngys Nurlanov made a welcoming speech to the event, stressing that the issues of developing financial literacy of students and the directions of its solution will be considered on the agenda. During the meeting, the guests shared their knowledge and experience of opening and running a business. In addition, they told about their professional path, how to become a truly successful entrepreneur, overcoming certain difficulties and failures, gave valuable advice to future specialists.

Thus, Nurim Abdykalikov noted that there are excellent opportunities for university students to communicate directly with leading businessmen of the region, find out their opinions on the most relevant topics, eliminate doubts about starting their own business, set new goals and highlight specific tasks.

According to Arman Serikuly, in world practice, small and medium-sized enterprises formed the basis of a developed economy. Thus, he reminded those intending to start a business that they should be on a constant search. In addition, Didar Boltaev advised students to study English. According to him, if the desire to become an entrepreneur is very strong, you should not be afraid to take risks, make mistakes.

Students asked entrepreneurs a lot of questions that they`re interested in. For example, we received answers to topical questions about the pros and cons of starting your own business, the professionalism of personnel, sources of project financing and ways to attract investors, as well as prospects for the development of modern business. At the end of the meeting, Moderator Ergazy Abdimanap thanked the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy of the Abai KazNPU for joint cooperation aimed at developing entrepreneurship and attracting young people from an active civic position to the basics of business.
