Career guidance seminar «Modern psychological and pedagogical approaches of high school students to choosing a profession»

As the events part of the Science decade, Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay (from 04.04 to 13.04. 2024) in the section «Scientific communication: university - college - school», the department of «General and applied psychology» of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology on April 04, 2024 organized and conducted a seminar on the topic «Modern psychological pedagogical approaches to choosing a profession for high school students» in secondary school No. 185 in Almaty.

The purpose of the seminar was introduction of modern psychological and pedagogical approaches, professional orientation methods for diagnosing personal and cognitive characteristics of high school and graduate school students to determine the level of motivation and professional interests in choosing a future profession.

The seminar was attended by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, senior teacher of the «General and Applied Psychology» department Tusubekova Kunslu Kadyrkulovna, 1st year master`s student of the specialty «7M03118 - Health Psychology with the basics of psychotherapy» Smagulova Aruzhan and 3rd year students of the specialty «6B03111-Training of a practical psychologist» Tabyldieva Shugyla, Kenzheakhmetova Aruzhan and Ashirbek Raushan, as well as a psychologist at secondary school No. 185 Bazargalieva Nazerke Asemkhankyzy. The seminar was interesting and useful for graduate students in choosing their future profession.
