«GrantBoost: Strategies for Grant Proposal Submission for Scientific Projects» Workshop Series

On April 5, 2024, as part of the «Science Decade - 2024», a series of workshops titled GrantBoost: Strategies for Grant Proposal Submission for Scientific Projects commenced at Abai University. Today`s session was aimed at studying the grant documentation for scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK).

Speakers at the event were Director of the Department of Science, Professor Abdigapbarova U., Leader of the scientific Grant Project funded by the MSHE RK  for 2020-2022 and 2022-2024 years, Leader of Program Targeted Funding Project for 2023-2025 years, as well as postdoctoral students from Abai University, Bayshemirov Zh., Leader of the scientific Grant Project funded by the MSHE RK  for 2021-2023, recipient of the scholarship for talented young scientists, and Shakirova N., Leader of the scientific Grant Project funded by the MSHE RK  for 2022-2024, participant in the international UNESCO project. 

The speakers comprehensively addressed questions regarding project formation, application documentation, financial calculations, and justification. They also highlighted relevant points and identified the strengths and weaknesses in document submission.

This workshop helped the university faculty to better understand the process of applying for grant funding from MSHE RK. Additionally, on Monday, April 8, 2024, there will be a continuation of the GrantBoost workshop series, focusing on grant proposal submission for scientific projects for young scientists and the «Zhas Galym» program. We look forward to welcoming all young scientists and doctoral students of the university!
