The final workshop of the GrantBoost series: Strategies for Grant Application for Scientific Projects Financing

On April 8, 2024, within the framework of the «Science Decade-2024» at Abai University, the final series of workshops GrantBoost took place: Strategies for grant application for scientific projects financing. The topics of the presentations were divided into three blocks: 1) submission of applications for scientific projects to the grant competition for young scientists, 2) «Zhas Galym» grant competition, 3) the process of uploading data and documentation to the «National Center of Science and Technology Evaluation» system.

Speakers at the event were postdoctoral fellows from Abai University, who are project leaders and/or executors of grant-funded projects: Nurbol Ussenov, Aziza Zhunusbekova and Akerke Umirbekova talked about the strategy of forming an application for the competition for young researchers, Erbol Tleuberdi, Zhanagul Sametova, and Meruert Imankulova discussed the grant competition «Zhas Galym», while Damira Sovetkanova provided detailed information and demonstrated the process of uploading applications and documents into the electronic system.

During the workshop, the speakers comprehensively and substantively answered questions regarding the correct formatting of scientific projects for young researchers and project formation, application submission, financial calculation, and its justification, aimed at increasing the level of scientific and technical potential and competitiveness of scientific research.

Master`s students, doctoral candidates, and young researchers from the university emphasized the importance of the meeting and noted that it is a significant support for young specialists.
