On April 20, the Academy of Pedagogical Excellence, the reading club and the Youth Affairs Committee held the Interuniversity intellectual competition "Bilim baygesy-2024" named after Akhmet Baitursynov.

One thing about the knowledge contest is that the money it brings goes straight to the goal, and does not go into the field," he notes that the main tool of education is a book. The main purpose of this event, dedicated to World Book Day, is to encourage young people to read, promote the value and benefits of books, and explain that the thought contest gives more than other competitions. The competition was held in three stages: at the first stage, each group was asked closed-ended questions. At the second stage, the group leaders selected one work each and revealed the ideas of the work they received. And at the third stage, under the heading of open questions, each team rationally answered the questions asked with their thoughts and showed ingenuity.
6 groups from among the universities of Almaty took part in the competition, the main prize (100 000 tenge) was won by the group "Ai-khanim" of the KazNWomPU, the first place (70 000 tenge) was won by the group "Nobel Laureates" of Abay KazNPU, II place (50 000 tenge) - Shamshyrak group of KazNPU named after Abay, III place (30 000 tenge) - Alka group of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, incentive prizes (book fund) - Zhas Talap groups of the KazNWomPU and Alash Ainasy reading club. The jury presented the winners with awards and decorations, congratulated them on their victory and wished them success in conquering the pinnacle of knowledge. At the end of the event, Chairman of the reading club Erbol Kozhakhmetovich summed up the results of the event, noting that reading books is beneficial, reading works fills with moral values, develops critical thinking skills.
