Competition "Best startup in education"

On April 26, 2024, the Department of Primary Education of the Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University held a competition "Best startup in the field of education" among students of specialty 6B01302 - Primary education with business innovation.

The organizers of this event are the teaching staff of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Primary Education: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Arenova A.Kh., PhD, acting. associate professor, postdoctoral student Umirbekova A.N., PhD, acting associate professor, postdoctoral student Zhunusbekova A. Also, special guests were invited to highly evaluate the results of the competition, the director of the educational center "SANA.BILIM" A. Dzhankenova and the famous blogger, entrepreneur Rustam Kabden.

Since 2020, on the basis of the Department of Primary Education, the specialty "6B01302 - Primary Education with Business Innovations" has been opened; in this area, high-quality training of future primary education teachers in the field of business, entrepreneurship, and project activities in the field of primary education is being carried out. Based on this specialty, a special competition was organized; this competition increases the activity of students in the field of business design, in creating startup projects, and in the field of entrepreneurship in primary education.

The purpose of the best startup competition is to enable students to provide their own new ideas, develop the ability to demonstrate the uniqueness of an innovative project based on collective and group work, present current problems affecting the education system, propose a new original project, business model, gain experience in participating in the competition, and preparation for future project activities.

In total, 30 teams of 63 students from the specialty "6B01302 - Primary education with business innovation" took part in the best startup competition. Participants presented startup projects created taking into account special rules provided in advance. Based on the results of the competition, the winning groups were awarded special diplomas of the 1st degree (Imangali Togzhan, Baltabay Jasmin), diplomas of the 2nd degree (Adilbek Zhannur, Kempirbai Balnur, Abenova Symbat, Zhumabek Orazkeldi), diplomas of the 3rd degree (Ersultankyna A. , Utepbergenova A., Zinurova Y., Bakytbekovina A., Dauren J., Duysebaeva Sh., Berikkyuzi A). Groups that distinguished themselves with special ideas were awarded special nominations, and all participants were given a certificate confirming their participation.

We think that special competitions organized in this format will contribute to the development of students` interest in their future profession and will strengthen the desire for constant self-improvement.
