The victims of political repression and famine are in the memory of the country

On May 21, 2024, the National Educational center named after Hakim Abai organized a meeting on the topic "Victims of political repression and famine - in the memory of the country", dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression and Famine.

At the beginning of the event, the Almaty Museum and the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented an exhibition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression in the main building of the University.

At the beginning of the event, Vice-Rector for Social Development Maksat Denisovich and Chairman of the veteran organization, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Berikzhan Aitkulovich spoke and said that the inauguration of victims is a civic duty of all of us.

The event was attended by the head of the Department of Social Sciences of the Almaty University of Energy and Communications.Gumarbeka Daukeeva, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor, nygmetologist, graduate of our University Bolat Kabdoshev "People`s Commissars of Justice of Kazakhstan: activity, fate. 1920-1938".

The head of the Center for the Study of Materials of Political Repression of the twentieth century, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Gyushat Ramazanovna focused on topical issues on the topic "New opportunities for studying the problem of political repression." We have completed the event.

Associate professor, member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a descendant of victims of political repression and famine Bolatbek Bogdanovich told about the fate of his father, who fell into the trap of repression.

The students of the Republican Specialized Boarding School for Gifted Children named after Abai, who attended the evening, performed songs of the Alash giants, their kuis and poems with in-depth study of the Kazakh language and literature.
