Meeting with first-year students of the Department of General and Applied Psychology

On September 3, 2024, at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Department of General and Applied Psychology held an introductory meeting with first-year students of the educational program «6B03105 - Training of a practical psychologist». In her opening speech, the head of the department, Associate Professor Gulmira Nietbaeva congratulated the students on the beginning of the academic year, introduced the teachers of the department to the students.

The presentation of the specialty, prospects and unique features of the educational program was made by Professor, Doctor of Psychological Sciences Satova Akmaral, noting that the psychological specialty is in demand in literally all social spheres, which guarantees the employment of graduates, as well as the experience of teaching staff of the department in these areas.

Candidate of Psychological Sciences Tusubekova Kunslu told about career guidance work. A 4th-year student of the educational program «6B03105 - Training of a practical psychologist» Mynbai Alisher told about his educational experience in the specialty. During the meeting, first-year students took part in a mini-training. It was conducted in two languages for 73 people.

The organizers of the mini-training were faculty advisor Shulenbayeva Raushan, senior lecturer Sadykova Anel, lecturer Bukeshova Saltanat. The purpose of the mini-training was to introduce students, opportunities for self-disclosure in team building and identify professional motives at the first stage of training. First-year students took an active part in the game creative exercise, the process and results were recorded in video recordings.
