Open lecture by Professor Salih Çepni on qualitative research in chemistry education

On October 9, 2024, the Department of Chemistry at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted an open lecture by Professor Salih Çepni from Bursa Uludağ University (Turkey) on the topic of "Qualitative Research in Chemistry Education."

The lecture focused on discussing and analyzing methods, approaches, and results of qualitative research applied in educational practices in the field of chemistry. The aim of the open lecture was to introduce students, masters, doctoral students and faculty to qualitative research methods that can be used to study and improve educational processes in chemistry.

Participants of the lecture discussed how to apply qualitative research methods in their work to enhance the teaching and learning of chemistry. The lecture broadened the knowledge of students and faculty about how qualitative research can be beneficial in the context of chemistry education to improve educational practices.
